primi doi pasi nu au functionat(imi spunea ca modul gspca nu e instalat). apoi ttul a mers ok pana la comanda: sudo cp v4l/gspca_pac7302.o /lib/modules/$(uname -r)/kernel/drivers/video, cand imi dadea urmatoarea eroare:

cp: cannot stat `v4l/gspca_pac7302.o': No such file or directory

Verifica in timp ce se compileaza modulele de kernel daca da vreo eroare la compilarea gspca, in mod normal ar trebui sa ai ambele fisiere, si cel .o si cel .ko, daca nu le ai ... sa nu fi dat vreo eroare la compilare, altfel nu imi explic.

In mod normal chiar daca un kernel suporta x feature-uri, asta nu inseamna ca sunt toate activate, in cazul de fata gspca-ul exista in kernel, din cate am citit pana acum, dar nu are modulul care ofera suport pentru camera ta adaugat, de aceea nu poti sa faci modprobe.

Solutia mea compileaza toate modulele de gspca, dar nu le instalezi pe toate, ci doar pe cel de care ai nevoie, gspca_pac7302.{o,ko}, altfel trebuie sa mergi pe varianta recompilarii kernelului (era un tutorial pentru un 2.6.34 pe aici) si sa activezi si supportul pentru modulul acesta.

Incearca totusi sa verifici, poate a dat vreo eroare la compilare.

Luam in calcul si varianta simpla, cea in care nu erai in directorul care trebuie cand ai dat comanda. Daca la find iti gaseste fisierele, pune calea completa in comanda de cp.

Poti chiar sa adaugi in /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf o linie la sfarsit in care sa scrie

Dai restart la sistem si nu iti mai incarca acel modul, atunci incerci din nou modprobe pe asta nou si verifici cu cheese. Daca nici asta nu merge vezi daca te ajuta => https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour … comments/4
